Planning Approved

Outline Planning has been approved for Tees Valley Regeneration's £320 million Northshore scheme in Stockton.

Joint developers Urban Splash and Muse Developments said:

"We are delighted with the decision and look forward to delivering a scheme which will link Stockton Town Centre and the River Tees and include new homes, shops, leisure facilities and office space. Improvements will also be made to the riverside promenade and other public spaces.

"We are now concentrating on working closely with our design and development team, as well as public sector partners to refine our proposals."

The application includes the new Homezone area of the site, where Portuguese architects Impromptu recently had their designs selected for a new family housing typology. Discussions are underway with the Homes and Communities Agency and other partners with a view to confirming timescales for the start on site.
